BIBLIO

Turn a pile of DOIs into clean, correctly formatted citations.

Paste them, or upload the spreadsheet, PDF or manuscript they are buried in. Choose a style. The finished citations arrive in your inbox as files you can use — no copying one reference at a time out of a database.

How it works

Four steps, one page, no account to create.

Step 1

Bring your DOIs

Paste a list, or upload the file they live in — spreadsheet, PDF, Word document, plain text, or a zip of several. BIBLIO finds the DOIs for you.

Step 2

Check before you cite

Every DOI is resolved and sorted into Ready and Needs attention, so a typo or a dead identifier surfaces before it reaches your bibliography.

Step 3

Pick your style

Nine built-in styles, or search roughly ten thousand journal-specific styles by name and use the one your target journal actually requires.

Step 4

Get the files

Results are emailed to you as attachments, with single-use download links as a backup. Nothing to install, nothing left sitting on a server.

Built for the awkward parts

The things that make citation work tedious rather than hard.

It reads your messy inputs

DOIs rarely arrive as a tidy list. Upload .xlsx .csv .tsv .pdf .docx .txt .zip and BIBLIO extracts them.

Four metadata sources

Crossref, DataCite, PubMed and OpenAlex — and you decide the order they are searched, or skip any of them entirely.

Journal styles, not just the famous nine

The full Citation Style Language collection is indexed and searchable, including the journal-specific variants that differ from their parent style in exactly the ways reviewers notice.

Save your setup and reuse it

Download a config file with your formats, styles and delivery address. Next time, upload it to pre-fill the whole form — then review and submit. Nothing runs on its own.

Delivered, not just displayed

Finished files land in your inbox as attachments. The download links are single-use and expire, so a forwarded email doesn't become a permanent open door.

Quiet about who you are

Email addresses and IPs are masked in the usage log, never stored raw. Results are cleaned up on a retention schedule rather than kept indefinitely.

Where the metadata comes from

Searched in the order you choose, so the source you trust for your field goes first.
